America Needs More Owners. Here’s How To Create Them.

“The best way to predict the future is to create it.”

-Peter Drucker
When 86% of Americans agree on something, you pay attention.
That’s how many believe small businesses have a positive effect on the direction of the USA — more than any other U.S. institution, beating the military, in 2nd place, by 26%.
That kind of trust says something. But for all that trust… there’s shockingly little training.
Nothing makes you question the business education system like meeting a guy who dropped out of college with $12 and went on to build one of the fastest-growing franchise groups in America (true story).
That’s not a dunk on MBAs. Plenty do incredible things. They lead great companies, become successful investors, shape entire industries — and the networks? Hard to beat.
But let’s be honest: most business schools weren’t built for this era or for most people. They teach you to analyze a deal from 2007, not negotiate one tomorrow.
In today’s world, what you can do increasingly matters more than what’s on your diploma. Skill and execution beat credentials and prestige. Real builders outpace résumé builders.
But if the old playbook won’t cut it in 2030… what’s the new one? If we want a better economy for more people, how do we equip more people with the skills to own a piece of it?
We think we might have the answer…

Here’s Exactly How To Create More Owners
The answer starts with an entirely new kind of business education. Not built around group projects and résumé padding, but around real-world execution.
One that teaches people how to buy and build real businesses. Boring ones. Profitable ones. Businesses with trucks. And crews. And customers. Businesses that pay employees, support families, and keep towns running.
We think the future of business education looks a lot more like that, and a lot less like a $200,000 PowerPoint. And it should be built from the ground up around 4 core frameworks anyone can use…
1. The DOJO Model
Black belts aren’t earned by watching. They’re earned by doing stuff like this:

The truth is, you don’t need to be an expert to start anything. But you need to start to become an expert. The next generation of business education won’t happen in lecture halls. It’ll happen in 24/7, hands-on virtual training grounds for SMB ownership, built for real-time action.

Learning this way will mean giving people a curated library of lessons, live coaching opportunities, and AI capabilities available to explain whatever they need.
Then they’ll need access to real operators for fast, tactical feedback. Need opinions on sales, sourcing, diligence, financing, growth, ops, or hiring? They won’t wait weeks. They’ll get answers in minutes.
2. The Scar Tissue Method
For many entrepreneurs, the most useful lessons don’t come from textbooks. They come from the field. From owners who’ve built something. Who’ve hired teams, closed deals, missed targets, fixed what broke, and scaled what worked.
The future of business education will come from people doing the work — and sharing what they’re learning as they learn it.
It will be a constant stream of insights from deal coaches, operators, and fellow business owners, buyers, and builders.

Not theory. Field notes. Case studies, but from people who are living the cases.
3. The Law of Momentum
The new standard in entrepreneurial education will be consistent progress. Owners will be built through movement, not memorization. To make that happen, the system itself must drive action:
Concierges to make sure you have everything you need to take action
Coaches to help you push through hurdles
Badges to showcase and celebrate what you’ve accomplished
Visibility into how others are progressing on deals, hiring, growth, and more
Wins will be shared daily. Milestones will be celebrated in real time. You’ll never be more than a few minutes away from seeing someone take action around you.
4. Nail THEN Scale
Once the core is working — teaching people how to source, evaluate, negotiate, and operate — then it makes sense to layer in tools that accelerate action.
That means building infrastructure that compounds:
A constant support system where people can get answers or feedback fast.
Live calls where coaches and peers poke holes in active deals and improve outcomes.
Expert sessions designed to go deep on friction points like seller conversations, SBA financing, hiring, ops, and negotiation.
In-person workshops and camps focused on tactical implementation and connection.
Due diligence tools and tech integrations that help reduce time, cost, and risk.
At the end of all this, what do you get? 1/10th the cost of a top MBA, and 10x more focus on what we think actually matters for most people.
Sounds pretty good, right?
We thought so too.
That’s why we’ve spent the last few years building it, and now 1,500+ members are putting it into practice:
Helping more people become business owners and builders, that’s the goal. And we think we’re on the way to doing that at scale, across the country. You can learn more about the program here.
By the way, that dude who dropped out of college with $12? That’s Steven.
He built and leads our portfolio company, ResiBrands, which helps aspiring entrepreneurs own service-based franchise businesses.
He figured it out the hard way.
Now we want to make it easier for the next 100,000 of you.
